Homeopathy:
Treating an illness by consuming an ultra diluted amount of the harming chemical/substance, sometimes even poison, in the hope that it tests your immune system without harming you, and therefore increases your defenses against whatever you are fighting. There is no scientific evidence to back it up, in fact all evidence suggests it's placebo.
Daisy will most likely correct the above.
St. John's Wort: A substance from the root of a plant that when taken enough of, basically blocks/reduces the chemicals in your brain that causes you to feel depressed. This is fully backed up by scientific evidence and is frequently prescribed by doctors in Germany.
The definition that Mark gives is the one I too have read. One of the things about Homeopathy is that you are not supposed to touch the pills (if that is what you are taking) with your fingers. I never understood this, but I'll bet Bev does. I think Bev would be the best person to address this as she knows about it, and I think works in this environment?

What's up with your foot Daisy?
It's an old stress fracture which I got playing tennis - I banged it up quite badly a couple of times, and now and again it comes back to torment me.

Amy, quit the drink and give it a go.
Take a trip to Tesco, it's a small white and green bottle. Take 4-6 tablets each morning, after a couple of days, your mood should start improving but you must see it as temporary although I'm not aware of any long term issues.

Is it ok to take with my anti depressants? Also, I can't get to a Tesco so can I not get them from somewhere else?

You might benefit from a supplement too
Calcium & Magnesium with vitamin D3
Calcium may assist in the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis. Adequate intake of calcium reduces the risk of osteoporosis, increasing bone and skeletal strength. Magnesium is an essential mineral for the human body, and is needed for relaxing muscles, bone formation and activating B vitamins. Vitamin D3 assists calcium absorption.

No, I would not take them with anti-depressants as they essentially do the same chemical reaction as some pills, but from a natural source.
Any big supermarket should have it. Any supplement place should have it also, like Holland & Barrats.

Stop the drinking - alcohol is not the answer and is a depressant.
Asda, Sainsburys, Boots or Superdrug should have this. Holland & Barratt too. OMG - me and Mark talking the same language!

Oh right, never mind then. Think I might see about getting an increase in my dosage from the doc if I continue to feel worse.

I take as little as I can get by with. I have a condition known as DPD deficiency - skipping to the bottom line it means I am unable to metabolise most drugs which can be a serious problem - e.g. you should see what penicillin and morphine, amongst others, do to me! I've tried calcium in the past and it makes my ears ring and when I stop I feel much better. I've had a couple of bone scans and have great bones - most probably as a result of pounding on a tennis court and a treadmill. The right foot stress fracture is just at the point where you push off, playing tennis. Me and Monica Seles - it finished her tennis career (and mine too - now that IS a laugh) ..

Amy, don't let the drugs control you and increasing your dose just makes it a longer process coming off them.
You need to concentrate on the good things in your life and work to change the other things that are making you feel like this but it's not going to happen at the snap of your fingers or taking more drugs because until you address the 'downers' in your life, they are still going to be there.

Amy, I'm a little concerned you are taking prescription anti-depressants, if you are suffering more than mild depression, then might as well stay with what you have. Otherwise, transition over to the much safer option

I made the mistake of letting a guy back into my life and this is where my downfall is. Now I'm back in the rut of which I was starting to claim out of. I'm back to being regetted by job interviews too which isn't a great moral boost.
