How do you feel right now?

I feel pretty rough, as apparently Monday night is migraine night. But tried my melty tablets for the first time and they seem to be limiting the pain...if not to the nausea.

Top tips for interviews (all of which I'm sure you know already):

1. Have a good handshake - make sure you make eye contact.
2. If you're giving an answer and you get yourself muddled don't be afraid to acknowledge it and start again.
3. Know your application form inside out.
4. Be prepared. The night before, I always sit in my room and talk through the answers to questions I think they might ask aloud. Not so that I sound robotic, but just to get a feel for the sort of answers I might want to give.
5. Do ask questions, but be careful - make sure they're not questions that you could have found the answers to yourself - ask some, but not loads - be clever about it and show you've read around the company and the role.
6. Be yourself - for all that there is a 'type' at companies like IBM, any companies wants interesting individuals.
7. Try to enjoy it!

Nervous.

Applied for a summer placement with IBM in North Carolina. I've got through to the first interview stage, and I'm cacking it.

Got a 100% record with interviews, but this is a huge step up. nervous Any tips apart from the obvious ones?

The more I think about it the more I think you're going to get it. It's definitely only for Scottish applicants and there's 2 placements, right? These are incredible odds for the positions in question. Also Andrew, you do have a very intelligent 'aura' about you in person but you're also very socially intelligent which makes for a great first impression. cmon yeah

Just a bit, especially since my mum and dad didn't end up coming out here last year.  But then again, I would go and see Andy playing in Melbourne 2 years running!

It's been pouring all day.  Makes me sick wish we could have some nice weather that would last a few days.
Still should not moan what is bad weather compared to what is happening in Japan feel so sorry for the Japanese people. shocking

Thought I'd drown trying to get home this afternoon ... the roads up here are seriously flooded and my little car skittered around - just glad it didn't stall 'cos me and my little doggie would have had to get out and start swimming !!
