It depends what violence you are reading, Child's violence is wimpish.

I'll be honest - I only watch the movies as I prefer reading non-fiction. So that leaves me with the movies only. Having said that, I must confess I did not find The Shining scary at all. Carrie was far better. The Dead Zone was absolutely a masterpiece. So yea, a big fan of King.

I'd prefer no violence - but Reacher (Child's violence) is vindicated - he's not a thug for the sake of it and rights a lot of wrongs - I'm all for that,  Very Happy

I just talked about Misery but Pet Sematary I have yet to see. But let's not forget The Shawshank Redemption, the best of all. Absolute masterpiece.

Don't think like that, otherwise you are setting yourself up for failure.

There will be days you can write a lot, and when that happens just run with it. There will be other days you can't be bothered, or it's just not clicking. It's normal.

I'm that serious about this novel and its success, that I would hire someone to hold me at gunpoint everyday until I finished it.
