To upload an animated avatar, it must be no bigger than 100x100 BEFORE uploading to MW. This forum doesn't have the functionality to resize a GIF for you. Personally I use Adobe Fireworks but some good alternatives for reasonable file sized gifs are http://www.gifworks.com |

How do I do that? I resized it and saved it on my PC. It looked shit after I resized it anyway, so I don't want to use it. |

Oh right, then you can't hotlink it for me. Can you upload it as an attachment or is it over 700kb? I'd like to see it. Also, what did you use to resize it? Adobe Fireworks allows you to do it AND keep the quality high. I'm sure you can download the application from somewhere  This was mine originally until I edited it:  |

Hmm, the one in the attachment is only a single frame... I assume it was animated before you uploaded?
I'll resize it for you now, it's pretty simple in Fireworks.

Hmm, the one in the attachment is only a single frame... I assume it was animated before you uploaded?
I'll resize it for you now, it's pretty simple in Fireworks.
I saved it. The only option I had was "Save Image As". I assumed that it would save it as an animated GIF. I also tried to just use it as my avatar by linking from the location. It displayed the picture but not the animation. I really don't know anything about animated GIFs. And thanks |

Bugger, turns out that GIF is pretty damn large even when resized so no point giving it to you as it is rejected by the forum which is a good thing - don't want people downloads MBs of data for an avatar.

Your avatar is still animating for me, unfortunately, and that includes after a refresh. |
