Getting my head around being diagnosed with womb cancer. Funny - I thought I'd have a lot to say - but I don't. Never felt so scared in all my life. Just wasn't in the plan...

Oh Elly ...
I'm sure none of us knows how we'd cope if we got that sort of news whilst hoping that we'll never have to hear it.

I guess that you will continue to live your life to the utmost - cancer isn't an instant death sentence. I wish you well.

Maybe, but it's still an awful thing to have to come to terms with. So far I've been spared having to do that but I know enough people who haven't, including my mother, to see how they've been affected, especially when they get the initial diagnosis.

It's not all doom and gloom. If they remove my 'bits' that should be that! I'm just exhausted and emotional. Thanks guys!

It isn't a death sentence, for sure - but it's pretty shit to hear you have it. Yes - I'm sure all will be well. Only the good die young!

I'm very glad you aren't having to wait too long. When my cousins's husband was diagnosed with lung cancer he had to wait five weeks for an op, which to me is unacceptable.

That's nuts! I have had the most lovely Consultant. I wish he were doing the op - but I've been handed over to the oncology bods. Hate, hate feeling so vulnerable. Hate hospitals - hate everything right now!

Elly... my sis arrives very soon, but just wanted to log in to say I'm so very sorry you are going through this ****. I have some experience, and please pm me anytime.
If I don't get back to you for a bit, it's because of my sis.
And to completely change the subject and hopefully lighten the mood, I'm currently pouring vinegar in between the gaps of my deck.
Long story short..I smelt something whiffy a few days ago, really rancid. So I guess something has died under it, and woke up this morning to a load of wriggling maggots. .Yuck!!!!!!
It's either a chipmunk or the big fat rabbit. I'm hoping its the rabbit. Fed up of it eating all my flowers I so painstakingly plant.
Can't put any chemicals down because of our dog, but hoping this will do the trick.
