I'm not sure if I'd want to read The Plague - but people are apparently reading books about the 1918 Spanish flu these days, and also more people are watching the film "Virus".
I like Nevil Shute's On the Beach, it's such a good story, but I don't read it at all right now, it seems a bit too close to home.
The 2011 film 'Contagion' is also being widely watched. A friend saw it on Netflix the other day and felt it was a bit too close to reality, although it was otherwise a good film. Also the virus mortality rate in the film was 25% and usually killed within 72 hours, which thankfully isn't the case with covid.
