Some **** with no brain thought it was funny I suppose. Was on the driver's side so I assume they were going past in a car. Hasn't happened again so seems to have been a one off. That's the trouble with living on a main road I guess. I was lucky I went out to get something so found it pretty quickly so I could clean it. The impact of 1 egg on the door did cause some scratches though which had to be touched up.
I'm going back to Auckland for a week over new year so even though I live walking distance from the airport I think I'm going to leave the car in the secure long term parking there rather than out on the street here. If something like the eggs was to happen again and goes unattended for a week that would be pretty disasterous. Wellington Airport have just announced half price parking if you book online in advance so that's sealed the deal I think. Rather pay $45 to park it safely for a week than risk several hundred dollars for repairs/repainting!

I lie awake worrying about my car being egged again after last week and I'm out there several times a night checking before I finally get into bed!
Living on a main thoroughfare causes all kinds of problems for residents who park their cars there. Happens here too, in the small towns ..... the lads pile out of the pub and remove windscreen wipers, mirrors and so on. Is there any place else you could park it?

It's no yolk, having to shell out on money for that is a nightmare. Still, you have to see the sunnyside of things.
