A college of mine must think I'm a dud. I called to make appointments for interviews and one time my phone call failed. I call back and the guy goes, "Maybe you should look into getting reliable service".

Not me but my daughters. Its the last few days of the school holidays, so they hitched a ride with their dad to Mount Maunganui on Friday. The walked up one of the various paths to the top of The Mount (pic 1), they took in the view and some sun (pic 2) and rewarded themselves with a waffle icecream when they made it back down (pic 3). Can't wait until I'm back there!

Just beautiful Bev. How high is Mount Maunganui and how long does it take to get to the top? Also, which body of water is that (just beautiful). That is an ENORMOUS icecream ... I love waffle cones ...

Wasted 5 hours of my life on an exam.
It WOULD happen to me, that my expensive graphing calculator would malfunction right before the exam.

Dominating the town is Mauao, a giant lump of rock that stands 232 metres high. And the length of time to get to the top depends on how fit I feel! About an hour I think it took us last time we were up there. We plan to walk round the bottom only when my mum and dad visit - my dad's not so good on his pins. Lots of seating areas about to rest and take in the wonderful scenery though.

I believe that the body of water is the south pacific ocean
And ladies, if you can ever make it over here, it's worth a look, but not over Christmas or New Year - it's a bit of a magnet for the young ones raving it up. But then again, that just might be suited to y'all! :O) We visited the day after New Year's Day this year and the beach was practically empty

What did I do today? I watched my younger daughter beat my older daughter in the final of the club juniors - 8-6 in the third. As if that wasn't enough, after just an hour's rest, she then went on to win the Ladies' Plate final - 7-5 in the third. Amazing.
