I will never understand why the AO is the only Slam where the semis are played on consecutive days. which means that Djoko will have had two days' rest, something Dom could have done with.

I agree I don't understand why they split the Semis up. But I found some stats going back 17 years and in those 17 years the Thursday winner won the title 8 times and the Friday winner won the title 9 times. So from that small sample it doesn't seem to make a difference.

O lord, I do miss so terribly the final sundays of the australian open with Andy playing after 2 weeks of great tennis.  I even miss the terrible and devastated feeling afterwards. Can he ever play on this level again?
