Can I just ask you though Matthew how you work your points for each player out?
Using a formula which Laundry devised based on rankings. The lower a player is ranked the more points they are worth. Then when it comes to points for set picking, I multiply the decimal odds by 10. So if Andy was given odds of 1.8 to win in straights his points would be 18. For the final all points are doubled.
I use the points system based on betting odds for Grand Slams and WTF and then the ranking points system which laundry created for all other events. As for Grand Slams there is more time available to wait for odds to be published because players only play every other day.
