That was surprisingly moving. He wanted it So much. Congrats, Novak. Indisputably the greatest male player of all time.

Didn't manage to watch the USO final, but it didn't take Sinner long to see off Fritz.

Nadal gone now too. Novak is last man standing.

Djoko v Hijakata would be interesting if it was on a bit later.  He's also playing doubles with Nick Kyrgios and won their first match.  Can't be bothered with Raducanu anyway.  Also thought Andy was coaching Djoko, or is that only for the AO?

Emma Raducanu has withdrawn from this week's WTA event in Auckland because of a back problem.

The 22-year-old was due to play Robin Montgomery of the United States in the first round of the ASB Classic on Tuesday.

Raducanu will now fly to Melbourne to continue her preparations for the Australian Open, which begins on 12 January.

"Tried my best to be ready," she said. "I love Auckland and the fans here, but unfortunately I picked up a back niggle and won't be ready in time.

Time she thought about retiring because she's not going to achieve anything at this rate unless her recently acquired Japanese fitness trainer can sort her out.

Djoko into R3 after beating Rinky Hijikata 6-0, 7-6(7-1). Still a bit strange seeing Andy as a spectator rather than a player.

Miami R3, Djoko vs Ugo Carabelli 6-1, 7-6(7-1).  Same as against Hijikata, raced  through the 1st set then fell apart a bit in the 2nd, saving his best tennis for the tiebreak, although to give Carabelli his due he did make life difficult at times for Djoko in the 2nd.

Djokovic now breaks the record for most ATP Masters 1000 match wins, 411 beating Nadal's 410.

I'm still here!  Have responded to ChrisMac personally because I didn't see her PM before today, and nor for some reason did I get any notifications in my emails, so assumed she'd gone on holiday.

Djokovic out in R2 in Madrid, beaten 6-3, 6-4, by world No. 44 Matteo Arnaldi.  Maybe it's time Djoko considered retiring.
