ATP/WTA Tour - The Other Players

Had to stop watching for a while, but it's now 4-2 Berrettini in the fourth, having won the third 7-5.

lol  Berrettini thinks it's over at 40-0, raises is arms in celebration, only to be told that it was a let - but at the next attempt he takes it 6-3.

Good looking guy though. wub

Plays Hurkacz in the semis.

My commentator praised Hubert‘s game, which showed a lot of variety in contrast to many other young top players, who try to hit the ball with as much power as possible.  He certainly thought of Shapo, Berrettini etc. In an interview with Andy in spring he was asked if he had noticed any changes in tennis in the time of his absence. The answer was no as the same players still lead the ranking, and yes as he noticed that lot of the young guns are really tall, which certainly may facilitate the heavy hitting.

I definitely enjoyed watching Hurkacz's match more than Berrettini's, so it's interesting to hear what Andy had to say about the younger players.  People can say what they like about Federer but to me he turned tennis into an art form which was a pleasure to watch.

What a match this is.  Shap just can’t get ahead despite best efforts.  Now break point for Djok.

2nd set Djoko 7-5.  Shap had his chances to break but couldn't take them, and now he's venting his frustrations on the umpire.

Another 2 BPs gone.  And another ... but Djoko finally holds.  1-1.

Some impressive play from Shap and he pulls back from 15-40 down to hold.  2-1.
