I foresee Penus Fatilliams winning Wimbledon 2014. What a day it would be if so.

Is it weird that I kinda feel bitter about Stan winning the AO on his 1st attempt? Andy's been a 3 time finalist there and couldnt manage to get past QF in the last 2 GS. Stan played superb for 2 weeks and I just can't help but feeling like a sore loser. I hope Andy's back gets better soon so that he can benon tiptop shape again to contend against the best players.
I would have felt bitter about Stan winning a slam final on his 1st attempt if Andy had zero slams. If Andy had (shudder to think) lost the USO 12 and Wimb 13 finals and been 0-7 i would hunt Stan down......
But luckily that is not the case, and at Stan's age now, there is little to begrudge him this win.

Well yeah, that's another way to look at it. Now I'm feeling a little bit better

@cmongoose
According to the received wisdom: Rafa for RG, Fed for Wimbles and Nole for USOpen
No-one else need turn up then...
`Received Wisdom`eh
As much as I think Novak is in with a chance at RG, conversely I still don't see how Novak is a lock for the US Open.
Has he not been beaten 3 of the 4 times he has played in the finals there, including the last 2 times by Nadal and Andy?
And in any instance the WTA like AO result puts all of our speculation in perspective.
Fed for Wimbledon?
Not gonna happen, even if the roof is on all tournament.

I have to admit to having a bit of a hankering for Federer to get to one more Wimbledon final. Him against Andy, who will be back to his best by then. The idea of Andy beating him to win the championship makes me happy. I can't see it though. I can't see Federer making another major final, unless something really weird happens.

Considering what everyone saw on court including the strapping before the medical time out. And of course all the fuss over that not sure deflecting it was an option think Nadal has done well to keep it as low key as it is.
Was he actually wearing strapping?

Hi janet my friend has posted on her facebook along side this pic that this was taken at 40-30 third game in the 2nd set so that was just immediately before he was wincing in pain and went off court for his time out. So he must have started the match with it on.
