I'm an armchair tennis player, but for those of you who actually play I thought you might be interested in this.
It's a link to another forum, but the reason I'm posting it is because a pro has joined this forum and basically just said to everyone "Ask me anything to do with being a pro tennis player."
His name is Filip Peliwo, a young, upcoming Canadian tennis player who is offering tennis techniques and an insiders view of the circuit.
He's won the boys' Jr Wimbledon and USO, and just been awarded Canada's top junior athlete of the year.
He is extremely candid, and pretty much answers anything anyone wants to know.

It was just a practice session with my dad.

The question remains, did you win? I tend to be ruthless during practice sessions and hammer my hitting partner.

Of course - I'm playing my dad.
I just like rallying because it's good exercise but half way through my practice sessions he always wants to play a match.

I'm hitting my backhand beautifully now, I look like Gasquet out there. Funny that my BH was always my least favourite but recently it's become my best weapon. I've even started running around some 2nd serves to get it onto my BH lol, I remember not long ago I used to run around to get them on my FH.

We were gifted with it, I haven't lost a match since mid April, I'm in imperious form.

I have a small doubt. Is it right to slice a ball when it is spinning? Does it have too much possibility to hit the net?

So how would you rate yourself in tennis? Intermediate for your level?

It doesn't matter what sort of spin is on the ball, as long as you get a decent amount of loft on it, your slice will stay effective.
