I have this strange relationship with following Daniil Medvedev.  On the one hand, I like his tennis, on the other, I gather his on court behaviour has left a lot to be desired at times.  I am not really good at following people who I don't think have strong values - perhaps I'm harsh.  It's one thing to have a bit of a temper/swear on court, I can overlook that!

Anyway, what do other people think?  I can't decide where he's going to be in the whole NextGen / next gen (non ATP version) either.

BTW hopefully it isn't against the rules to put a picture in a talk thread?

I think he's going to be top 10. Hates losing very much, self esteem issues perhaps? I think this is what provokes a lot of the on court histrionics.

I stopped watched Daniil's matches because of his on-court behaviour, but as far as this goes it seems Daniil is a changed man these days.  Also he got married in September, something which he thinks will help.  If he can remain calm, or at least as calm as possible when the going gets tough, and focussed on his tennis then I see no reason why he shouldn't have a very good chance of making the top 10.

I was watching Medvedev v Harris - no sound (was late) but it looked very, very hot (didn't help that they were both in pink) and Daniil seemed to have some sort of MTO?  Nevertheless he ploughed on and won.  I will try and find a match report!

Yes pink in a hot country makes it worse.  Blue or white would be better?

Daniil's playing in the Sofia Open which is where Stefanos T is also playing.
Daniil beat Robin Haase 5/7, 6/2, 6/2 and plays Klizan in the quarter final at around 4:00pm our time today (Friday).
