The Shap pictures are lovely, he's really nice Smile  I love his blonde hair - I think the main thing you notice about Shap is his hair Smile
Is he going to have a new coach for 2019?

lol   Don't get me wrong, I've never had a particularly strong libido (why am I announcing this on here??) but the day I lose interest in a sexy male will be the day they put me in my coffin, unless I completely lose my marbles first that is!

You can say anything you like here on MW!!  I shouldn't think any of our guests will mind what you write!
I hope you'll never lose your marbles because it would be truly awful to lose interest in David Goffin or Delpo or Shap or any of them  lol

Denis is wild. Part of his charm, I know, but we also all know, consistency is the name of the game.
His ma looks just like Navratilova.

Very frank and interesting.  At least he seems to be heading in the right direction with his thinking having realised just how hard the demands of the Tour are and what it requires to get to the top.

I did say earlier that perhaps he needed a change of coach not realising he had already done so at the end of September!   Rob Steckley, Canada's top coach, formerly coached Lucie Safarova and got very good results with her, so let's see what he can do for Denis next season - https://tennis.life/2018/09/26/rob-steckley-on-coaching-trial-with-shapovalov/     He needs a good fitness coach as well if he hasn't already got one.

There is quite a strong resemblance, I agree - and Denis looked very like his ma before he got his hair cut.

I'm never going to say it again.
The tour is too long and is very demanding on all the players.
They have to play 4 grand slams and the WTF and possibly the Davis Cup but in a different format.
They also play lots (9)) ? Masters tournaments.
They have to travel far and wide and train everywhere.
It's no wonder there are so many injuries.
Will the ATP ever listen?  No.

Probably, but it's worth seeing again because it's a great pic.   Eyes totally focussed on the ball: racquet ready to hit it as hard as he can and where he wants it to go.  I just hope it was in!

For some reason Denis has deleted his Twitter account.

Maybe like Andy he did this because he was getting abusive posts?

Changing the subject.  Saw a photo of him the other day with the Canadian DC team wishing everyone a Happy Christmas, and am convinced he's growing his hair long again!

Did Andy do it too?

Do you think so re the hair? I wonder if he's just letting it find a level?

He did shut it down for quite a while about 10 years ago because of all the abuse he was getting, particularly come Wimbledon, much of it down to the fact that he's Scottish and also had never been forgiven for his joking "Anyone but England" comment.

Maybe, but we should find out fairly soon.

I think lots of people get abusive posts on Twitter and you can't blame them for shutting the account down.  It wouldn't be nice to read things like that as soon as you look at the computer.  Politicians and people like that have closed their accounts too, or otherwise they just don't look at them.
I like Shapo's shorter hair, but he can do whatever he likes with it ...

I'm not bothered about the length of his hair.  It's his tennis which counts, and he does need to buck up a bit next season and try to get his ranking into the top 20 (it's currently 27).
