Good match Milos.. but all credit to Fed, he did an exceptional job of returning the Miloserve.
Impressive 1st set for Milos.. good groundstrokes/footwork.
2nd set... jigsaw broke into pieces.
3rd set.. Managed to keep in the game, but the writing was on the wall.

Next time Milos needs to know it's ok to challenge on dodgy calls.

Was intrigued by a Raonic tweet -Jet setting, just landed in Barcelona and first thing tomorrow morning on a flight to Toronto #RackingUpMiles - and found this:

Raonic makes short stop in Barcelona for medical check

Canada’s Milos Raonic, who withdrew from the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami yesterday due to an ankle injury he sustained while practicing, arrived today in Barcelona for a medical check with Dr. Angel Ruiz-Cotorro. The young tennis star will fly to Toronto tomorrow before returning to Europe to be back on time for the Masters 1000 Event in Monte Carlo and the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell.

“It’s nothing too serious,” said Raonic about his injury today at the Real Club Tenis Barcelona. “I decided not to play against Andy (Murray) in Miami because I twitched my ankle in practice. I have a lot of faith in Dr. Cotorro and just need to check what the injury is about. Tomorrow I’ll fly to Toronto to see my family and rest for a little bit.”

The 21-year-old Raonic will be back on track for the start of the clay-court season in Monte Carlo. He is one of the top youngsters to participate at the 60th anniversary of the Barcelona tournament. “I look forward to the clay season hope to achieve a great result here in Barcelona,” the player concluded during his short stay in the Catalan capital.

During his short career as pro tennis player, Raonic already suffered some major setbacks. Last season he was forced to pull out in Wimbledon due to a serious hip injury and earlier this year, he withdrew from the Davis Cup competition against France due to a left knee injury.

That's some trip to the doctor!

Sorry bbh.. you are incorrect.  Milos lives in Thornhill, a suburb of Toronto. I know it well.  He has a place in Barcelona, but he is now currently back home in Canada.

So does his Spanish coach "bounce" between the two countries, then?

Pointless though, flying from Miami to Barcelona then back to Toronto then back to Spain. Should have stayed in Spain.

Good news for Milos he doesn't have many points to defend for the rest of the year. YAY!!!

Hopefully he'll shoot up the rankings!

Nice little article about Tommy Haase who turned 25 on 6 April and one of my fave players whose career has unfortunately been dogged by injury.

Only really posted it on here because of the photo of Milos admiring Haase's pecs.  At least that's what the caption says he's doing! Very Happy
