Yes, but to have them on the court seems like an abuse of privilege.
That's what I was getting at. If he'd gone to Mirka and the kids I'd have had no problem with it, because it would be natural to want to share the moment with his family. It was the way the kids were brought to him that I objected to. I'm sorry, but I think it was a bit of a desperate attempt to drag the attention from the runner up, who was being cheered at the time by a crowd who could see how hard he'd fought.

I can't remember how she got there, but Kim Clijsters had her daughter Jada stand with her through the whole trophy ceremony when she won the 2009 US Open on her comeback. I thought that was magical and quite nice to watch. I don't see why Federer should have been stripped of the same privilege.

^ I don't know, maybe I'm cynical, but I don't think Federer's motive for it was the same as Clijsters.
On a slightly different point, has anyone else read about the gate they've put on CC so that winners don't have to climb over commentary boxes in future? It's a safety measure, but it seems a bit of a shame.

Yes, I thought strengthening the roof would be a better option.

Nay lass...
Tommy harass.. Rusty Hewitt.. Kim cloisters.. First to come to mind.
Not at Wimbledon, though. I think it was Pat Cash who first climbed up to his box when he won and he caused quite a shock among the Wimbledon worthies at the time. Brash Aussie!!!! Started a trend. Never followed by Fed. I remember Leyton Hewitt's wee blond boy who didn't want to be there.

I think PseudoFed is David Law. He's been tweeting about him once or twice this weekend.

Breakfast in America by SuperGOAT
September 1, 2014 by pseudofedblog
Due to the delay of the rains I thought I’d pen you a little ditty. You’re welcome.
Take a look at my Wilson
It’s not the only one I got
Very much a big Wilson
Never seem to shank a lot
Take a Fed Jet across the water
America likes to see Me
See My fans in the Big Apples
They’re hoping it’s going to come true
There’s quite a lot staff can do
Could I have muesli for breakfast
Cheffy dear, Cheffy dear
Got to have muesli for breakfast
Cos every GOAT’s a millionaire
I’m a winner, not a singer
You really want my autograph
Not a loser, Nole’s a joker
He’s playing his tricks upon Me
While he’s got nothing better to do
Take a look at my Rolex
It’s not the only one I got
Very much a collection
They all like Me a lot
I like My fast jet, got My own seat
Sometimes invite Stanford
He has his own place, in the luggage hold
He’s hoping to buy his own plane
I say Stan, no pain no gain.
