Is Nadal gay?

Quote

Is Rafa gay? In his autobiography, he talks about his entourage and there's a guy who keeps cropping up called Titin. He has no clear role definition within Rafa's team, and there he was, after Rafa won today, giving him a big hug and a kiss.

According to several threads on Men's Tennis Forums and elsewhere, it's common knowledge in the locker room.

Do you know I have often wondered. Signs are there.

MTF... The "News of The World" of tennis forums, and clearly a reliable source.  Rolling Eyes lol
Anyhoo.. what does it matter if he's gay?..apart from breaking a few female hearts. I say good luck to him, whatever the case may be.
Just saw Nole and Rafa being interviewed casually by Johnny Mac.... they're obviously very relaxed with him and were really natural.  Rafa was lucky he didn't drop the trophy into his eye, he's going to have a bruise just under it.

He probably is. I’ve read not so long ago an interview of Nadal where the interviewer tried to explore the relationship between Nadal and his girlfriend, and Nadal was very tight lipped about it. The line of questions had me thinking that maybe she was on to something and it seemed though as if Nadal had guessed where she was heading with that line of questioning. I found it very interesting back then. I think it was just last year.

It doesn't matter if he's gay but if he is gay then it's interesting that he's hiding it. In this day and age, there's no reason to hide it, unless he feels it won't be the case and that his career/reputation will be hampered by it.

Yep, my thoughts too. The rain played a huge role in Nadal's victory. Nole had all the momentum. Such a shame. Had the result been different today it could have made a big difference for the rest of the season, and would really have opened the door at Wimbledon. I'll be surprised if Djokovic doesn't defend his Wimbledon crown now.

.............  but the rain also played a huge part in the way the match was going last night.  The court being wet and the balls so slow virtually negated Nadal's blistering forehand and topspin, hence the loss of 8 straight games.  The weather often plays it's part in outdoor tournaments - take the Henman/Ivanisovic match at Wimbledon - it's all part of the game!

If Rafa is gay - are you saying his girlfriend is just a decoy then? It would seem to be a very elaborate pretence as she seems to be with him much of the time and attends receptions, dinners etc.  I can't really see what the point would be.  He doesn't need to have her there.

A few celebs have paid GFs/wives. I can think of at least 2 Hollywood actors. They just think if they appear to be hetero, it makes for a better public image and stops them getting beaten up.

Some?
I would say most. Although i doubt any fear being beat up. Its probably more to do with money.
Its especially hilarious if Rafa is actually gay when you consider just how many millions of his supporters are deluded fan girls. Not that they would have had a shot either way.
As for today's result, to me it is clear that the next French Open champion is almost certainly Novak Djokovic, & probably from next year onwards.

Tom Cruise of course comes to mind immediately but people are still so naive as it seems. I've seen a documentary not so long ago, where a lot of men are still living on the down low. They have families and children and the wives have absolutely no clue about their husbands’ true life. Some of them were interviewed but they kept the faces in the dark, as they didn’t want to come out, but gave the interview anyway just to show what kind of double life they were leading and this was only for the sake that, some people especially the older generations have trouble accepting a life that doesn’t strike as normal to them. And I am sure they aren’t far off judging by the reactions we have.

Absolutely. It's all about money after all and he does have millions of deluded fan girls to support him.

Anyway, I hope you are right about Nole winning RG going forward. Most likely scenario so I agree. Besides, Nadal won't continue to live on forever on a tennis court. The sooner the demise the better it is for Andy.

Rafa is gay.

I spent a night with him in Miami. I've never walked the same since.

It's also hilarious how people love to make up ludicrous rumours about those who have everything, Rafael Maymo or "Titin" is Rafa's physical trainer, beyond that it is none of our business.

Congratulations to Rafa for his 7th RG title, absolutely ecstatic, so proud of him for what he has achieved in the last seven years. clap
