Seen the last three sets of Fed's match but didn't see Nole v Rafa.
Nole was out of it until the last set - but Nadal fought back.

I think the Djokovic match would have meant so much to him, both ranking wise and knowing he's so close to a quadruple.
He always drops to floor when he wins now??

Watching it back, the match was actually closer than I first thought. The first set ended up being pretty tight and obviously the third set was a nail biter. He got properly blown away in the second, mind you.

Sorry, you're right - I did actually only watch from the 2nd set - just going on what the commentators had said - Aussies what can I say! 3rd set was a nailbiter! Was a toss up between that and the cricket, which was also cracking stuff!

I think Rafa played the way he always plays and proved he's number two and obviously Djokovic has to train much harder to topple him from the throne here and from the second place. Nadal is such a talented boy, we witnessed so many strokes that no couch is able to show you, these stroks are what makes the difference between the good and the best players.

Great game by Ivanovic!
Pretty dangerous way trying to get to her team though. Kim did that too at the US Open, a woman refused to let go of her arm.

New world number one, well done Ana!
Hard luck for Dinara - don't follow womens tennis, but I'm sure her moment will come.

Nadal 4-1 (two breaks of serve) Fed is getting stuffed so far
Nadal 6-1 This has got to hurt

I can't see Fed winning. Basically, Federer is playing with one weapon: his forehand. He doesn't have a backhand anymore. It is just too erratic. He can't rely on it the way Nadal can rely on both his forehand and backhand.

I agree, Nadal has taken the second set 6-3
Nadal wins 6-1 6-3 6-0, Nadal is just too good on clay

I feel vindicated. Federer had no business being in that final. The road to a grand slam final should not be so easy. Federer's draw was a joke. As soon as he came up against a top player, he took a comprehensive beating.
It was an embarrassment. He didn't deserve to be in that final. He won 4 games over 3 sets.
