If you lived on the Cornish coast you'd know about fine weather interference. We were told that when we were all forced to have digital TVs we wouldn't suffer anymore of it. Ha ha we do.
If I lived on the Cornish coast, I wouldn't be here and I'd be backing you up over fine weather interference.

Great news, Heather Watson through to second round in straight sets 6-2, 6-4 against Vesnina, now we just need Andy to do the same.

The second set was a bit more nerve wrecking, a few breaks of serve and she did well to keep in and make the most of her chances.

The earliest Fed could face a seed now is in the QFs.
Who were the three seeds in his 16th of the draw?

Elsewhere today Benoit Paire is 7-6, 6-4, 4-3 up against Albert Ramos. Two up and coming players but a bit of a surprise given their rankings and Ramos perhaps doing a little better than Paire on the clay recently. Then again, Paire has the home support.

Don't think either of them were seeded were they?

Brian Baker through, beat Malisse 6-3 7-6 7-6
And David Goffin knocks out Stepanek in 5 sets. Not many seeds left in Fed's quarter.
Baker is definitely one to look out for. Didn't know much about him before his recent rise but as mentioned in a couple of articles he's had massive injury/illness problems that have completely wrecked his career.
But in the last month or two he's surged up the rankings from around #300 to within touching distance of the top 100 after RG:
Won Talahasseee (90 ranking points) - earned him a WC at RG
Semis at Nice after Qualifying (102 ranking points)
2nd round of RG (45 ranking points) - and could go further yet.
That will stick him around #125-#130 after RG. Definitely one to watch out for.

Ah right, thanks. How on earth did Federer get what must be the weakest possible seeds (in each respective bracket, given the surface)!? Who's his QF opponent, Tipsarevic or Tsonga by any chance?

Assuming one of those gets through, that will be his first real test then.
Looks like Federer's draw will be Kamke-Ungur-Klizan-Kubot - and that's the hardest it will get, of course if any of the lower ranked players win it'll be even easier.

I realize that Rafa is a wonderful tennis player ,but his twitching and tic's get worse with every tournement. Now he adjusts the front of his shorts ,then the back, then over each ear and now his nose and sometimes repeats the whole thing again. That boy needs zanex.I am watching him play Bollelli and its painful to watch him.
