Anyway I don't want anything to do with this or any other make of the vaccine until it's been thoroughly tried and tested - and by that I mean on the population in general and not just a few thousand 'guinea pigs'

Don't you see that if everyone adopts your attitude then the virus will just rip through society and cause incredibly high death rates?

Why have you chosen to rake this up 7 months later and on a thread which is primarily for tennis news?

Well he should have done given that we were discussing the AO - but then maybe he doesn't bother reading posts properly.

Not very good news for some tennis players and cricketers maybe? - State of Victoria makes vaccination mandatory for athletes ahead of Ashes and AO due to an outbreak of the delta variant -

As from next year Sky will have the rights to show the US Open instead of Amazon, thanks to 'the Emma Raducanu effect'

I don’t know If it is the right place to ask this, but does it look like ITV4 will not be showing the French Open this year?

I think Eurosport has the bought the rights to be the only broadcaster which is a shame.

I also see that Sky has regained the rights for the US Open.  Apparently because of Emma Raducanu’s success.  I don’t mind paying £6.99 for Eurosport but Sky Sports is a different story altogether.

I think Amazon Prime still have the US Open this year.

^ I read that about Sky and Emma too and wasn't impressed, but  fortunately Amazon Prime will still be showing the USO this year.

Eurosport alone will show RG with Mischa Zverev taking over from the disgraced Becker, who I doubt will be sadly missed! Mischa has worked for Eurosport before so is no stranger to them.  He sounds like he'll be good too - "It will be two intensive weeks of tennis with high-level matches," Zverev explained. "I don't just want to explain to the spectators the small details that can often make a big difference, but also convey their enthusiasm for tennis."

Sorry Aileen I just noticed you had already posted the news about Sky and the US Open.  I cannot see them allowing (at whatever cost) one of the main channels to show a final on mainstream TV.

Quite an interesting development this and one I have no objection to, at the moment anyway.   It'll be interesting though to see how it works out and who actually uses it -

"Off-Court Coaching Trial Announced For Second Half Of 2022 Season"

"The ATP has announced that ‘off-court’ coaching will be trialled for the second half of the season. The trial will permit coaching from designated coach seats during qualifying and main draw matches at ATP Tour events, including the USO and Nitto Finals, starting from the week of 11 July 2022"

There’s to be a mixed tournament similar to the Hopman cup in Australia next year.  I used to enjoy that event. It will replace the ATP cup.
