That's very sad because I like the fact that they cover all the courts, something TennisTV doesn't do, the only downside being that very often they don't show ATP250s.

Yes, and if it’s Sky that takes over it will be too expensive.  Tennis is really the only sport I watch, so I just couldn’t justify it.

It's the only sport I watch too.  I don't have or want Sky so I'll just go back to TennisTV and pay their monthly sub which currently is £2 dearer than Amazon.

This will replace the ATP Cup, although it sounds more like a footie event than a tennis one!

Unfortunately Russian and Belarusian players have been banned from participating.

The Lawn Tennis Association has been fined $1m (£820,000) by the ATP for banning Russian and Belarusian male players from this summer's grass-court events, the WTA having already fined it $750,000 (£615,000) ,

The governing body has also been warned it could lose its ATP membership if a similar decision is made next year.

^ Why bother sending people to prison for two and a half years and  then release them after 8 months?  It makes a complete mockery of the justice system.

Due to financial problems the Australian Open could be moved to Shanghai at some point in the near future.

From this year Wimbledon will follow the other Slams by reducing the men's doubles matches from BO5 to BO3.

That makes sense if they want to encourage more single players to take part.  Also, when there’s a rain delay things won’t get backed up so much.

Excellent initiative by the LTA -

"This year, we once again teamed up with The All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC) to stage ‘Middle Saturday Opened Up’ – a free community tennis event at the public tennis courts in Wimbledon Park.

The event, which brings the local community together at a time when tennis is being celebrated around Britain, was created to support the aim of both the LTA and AELTC to open up tennis and demonstrate the vital role park courts play as community assets in providing accessible opportunities to play and benefit from physical and mental health benefits that being active through tennis brings."

"Men's competitions in Dallas, Doha, and Munich have been selected for an upgrade to ATP 500 from 2025 in a bid to bring more benefits to players, fans, and stakeholders. However, three ATP 250 competitions in Atlanta, Lyon, and Newport will become defunct to make way for the three upgraded tournaments."

In addition, it's been reported that a 10th Masters 1000 will be introduced at the start of 2025 in Saudi Arabia.  The Saudi Masters would end a week before the Australian Open.  Given how packed the Tour calendar already is, is this really necessary?  Also it sounds like yet another of Saudi Arabia's sportswashing activities.
