Western & Southern Open

Here's the order of play for tomorrow: Andy definitely on fourth, Dan is on first on court 12 playing Raonic, who's got to be almost a foot taller than him!

This is really confusing because according to that schedule two matches are being played on Grandstand at 11 am!   Serena follows not before 1 pm with Andy's and Djokovic's matches following.

^ Sorry, the information seems to be different for tomorrow's schedule dependent on where you look. Amazon Prime put up a graphic with Andy third on Grandstand and Flash scores list his match at 17:30BST. Best to wait and see on the day itself?

^ Not only that but the tournie website has now stuck an evening match in between the two 11 am ones, with Andy and Daniil both playing at 11 am.  I think there must be a computer glitch in NY because every time I look the schedule is different.  At least the ATP website and Amazon are consistent so far, i.e. Andy on third.

All the correct and current information is on the ATP/WTA Live app and/or the ATP/WTA websites, plus the tournament website.

Andy is 3rd on Grandstand, with an estimated start time of 8pm GMT, 3pm local time.

Likewise Thank you.  It is always irritating when we supposedly have all this IT based information that the tournament itself cannot keep the information up to date on their own website. It is still wrong there!  I suspect that they were asked that Serena could play early so all the others were moved about after the schedule was first published.

IF I am right Jo Konta and Dan Evans ARE first on on other courts and Heather Watson and Joe Salisbury go in the doubles so plenty of matches to watch whilst waiting for Andy's match?

^ The W&S website has been changed to yet another schedule for Grandstand Court so now different from coverage times on AP! I suppose with no crowds they think this is acceptable.

I am giving up ever trying to plan my life and watching tennis. As I said earlier a lot of us are not perpetually glued to the Internet or mobile phones.  I refuse to join the many mindless folk that are!

Thank you all.  I look at this pc occasionally to check rain at the cricket and for latest schedule for Andy playing but confirmations from others helps a lot.

The tournament schedule is still all over the place, so I'm wondering if it's some kind of computer glitch, although why only Grandstand has been affected I wouldn't know.

Jo looking good.  Took the first set 6-2 against Flipkens and now she's serving for the match at 5-0, which she does in an emphatic manner.

I have just watched Jo Konta.

So purposeful and as always with her clothes immaculate!  Liked what I have seen of her tennis.  A 6-2, 6-0 win was a tremendous start for her. Back to check on Dan now!

^ I haven't watched Jo for a long time but was impressed with her performance here.

Dan lost the first set against Raonic 3-6, but it's now 5-4 Dan in the second, with Raonic serving to stay in the set.

5-5 now.  Looks like Dan is having problems with Raonic's serve, which is what I feared.

R breaks, so unless Dan can do something special, the match is his.

... and a nice bhdtl at 40-30 makes it 7-5 Raonic.

Shame, because I'd like to have seen Dan go further, although his next opponent would have been the winner of Murray/Zverev.

Bit bummed about Dan—the trouble with an opponent like Raonic is that unless he isn't feeling his serve on the day, it's very difficult to break and make headway in a set. Nice about Jo, very glad she did such a thorough job on Flipkens, good way to start. Unfortunately I missed it as was out playing tennis myself (extremely hot and humid and sweaty even with old ladies' doubles). But home now and hoping Andy can bring it against Sasha. I do feel his experience and craftiness could get him through, but he'd better be well hydrated!
